Why Do We Sell Heat Bags?

Why Do We Sell Heat Bags?

We've had this question a lot over the last few weeks... First-time Mums (FTM) listen up!

Having a baby is challenging, everyone knows that. There will be changes you will be been told (or warned) about and some that may have been long forgotten by experienced Mums when handing over their birthing wisdom. Some of this information you will find helpful, confronting, overwhelming or fully prepared for!

So, why will I have these cramps? Well, your uterus has expanded up under your ribs by 40 weeks and will need to eventually return back to its pre-baby size. Once baby is out, your uterus will begin its journey and as a result you will experience cramp like discomfort each time you initiate breastfeeding or pumping. This will be at its most intense for the first few days but can last up to two weeks.

What helps I hear you ask? A HEAT BAG!
Since we've been out and about meeting all of you lovely FTMs, there's a common theme amongst a lot of you not knowing about the postpartum uterine cramps. Grrrreat, yes, more cramps after all the discomfort getting baby earth side. We want to make sure you're prepared and ready for your postpartum experience and to make it easier than it needs to be.

So you will be attempting to breastfeed your baby for the first time (correct latching, full breasts and nipple soreness) and the last thing you want to be doing is adjusting and readjusting your heat bag while also holding baby. The Wrap Around Heat Bag is the perfect solution for this problem. It has strong Velcro straps across the back so you can adjust the size as you need and the coverage is truly great!

What's even better about these heat bags is that they are filled with Lupins which means they stay warmer for longer, they don't sweat or have an odour and best of all is that it can be used as a cool pack too (just chuck it in the freezer for a few hours).
The Wrap Around Heat Bag is a heat bag that will last much longer than these pesky cramps will that's for sure!
Something to consider for your hospital bag...
