How do I know what size to buy? My baby is between sizes.

When in doubt, size up. Babies grow quickly and our garments are designed with room to move. If your little one is between sizes, we always recommend going to the next size. You'll get more wear out of it and they'll be comfortable longer. Take a look at our Size Chart to help work out what size would be best!

Do your clothes run true to size, small or large?

Our garments are cut to standard Australian sizing with comfortable, non-restrictive fit. Anything outside of standard sizing is always specified in the garment description.

For our organic cotton pieces, they have minimal natural stretch (unlike synthetic blends), so we recommend checking the measurement guide on each product page rather than relying purely on age labels.

Will the clothes shrink after washing?

All our organic cotton garments are pre-washed to minimise shrinkage. You can expect less than 5% shrinkage when washed according to our care instructions (cold wash, gentle cycle, low or no tumble dry). Wash inside out and avoid hot water to keep colours looking their best.

What does "organic cotton" actually mean? Does it really matter?

Yes, especially for newborns. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilisers or GMO seeds, meaning the fibres against your baby's skin contain significantly fewer chemical residues than conventional cotton. Baby skin is thinner and absorbs more than adult skin, so what it's wrapped in genuinely matters. Our organic cotton is also free from harsh dyes and chemical finishes, making it suitable for sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

How do I use my Breastfeeding Blanket?

Our breastfeeding blanket is designed to give you a little extra comfort and privacy, while keeping your baby safe and close during feeds.

While sitting, simply drape the blanket over the front of your body and position the blanket so it comfortably covers your chest, arms and legs, or whatever level of temperature you need. Open the magnetic front so your baby can feed and away you go! As you settle in to feed, adjust the fabric so you can always see your baby’s face clearly and keep their nose and mouth uncovered.

This allows you to stay connected, responsive, and confident your baby is feeding safely.

Your baby’s safety is everything, so here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Always maintain a clear line of sight to your baby’s face
  • Ensure your baby’s nose and mouth are never covered
  • Use only during active, supervised feeding
  • Never leave your baby unattended while using the blanket
  • Remove the blanket once feeding is finished

Guidance from Red Nose Australia highlights how important it is to keep your baby’s airway clear and unobstructed, especially during rest and feeding.

How long will delivery take?

We pride ourselves on our fast dispatch time! Typically if you're order is placed before 12pm Mon-Fri, it leaves our warehouse the same day, otherwise it's next business day.

We ship from our warehouse in Melbourne, Australia. Standard domestic shipping with Australia Post typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your location. Express options are available at checkout which are always prioritised first.

Once your order is dispatched you'll receive a tracking link via email.

I need an urgent gift, what can you do?

We get that life happens. To give yourself the best buffer we suggest selecting Express Shipping at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

We do ship internationally! All shipping and relevant duties are calculated at checkout.

What if my item is showing Out Of Stock?

We're a small family business and some styles do sell out. Use the"Notify me when back in stock"button on the product page and you'll be the first to know.

What is your returns policy?

We truly hope you love what you have bought, but if you have changed your mind or bought the wrong size, that's okay!

We offer a 30 day exchange for a credit note on any items that are in the original packaging, are unworn and unwashed.
Once returned to us we will forward you a credit note so you can purchase the alternate garment. Send us an email to hello@flownoak.com.au with your order number and what you are wanting to exchange.

We will only offer a full refund on faulty items. You will need to email us at hello@flownoak.com.au within 30 days of receipt of purchase, along with an image of the fault and your order number.

Please note that delivery costs will not be refunded.

I bought the wrong size! Can I exchange it?

Yes, we'll do our best to help you get the right size. Get in touch as quickly as possible so we can check stock availability. Items must be unworn and in original condition. Once exchanged items are returned to us we will then issue you a credit note so you can purchase the correct item.

I'm buying this as a gift, but I don't know the baby's size yet! What do I do?

This is the most common gift-buying situation and we've got you. Our most popular approach: buy 0–3 months larger than you'd expect. Newborns outgrow 000 within weeks, so a 00 or 0 gift will get far more wear and will feel more considered.

Do your products come gift wrapped?

Individual items arrive in our branded packaging, thoughtfully presented but not gift-boxed.

We are working to include a gift box option at checkout. Reach out to us and we can see what we can do if you're stuck!

Can I send a gift directly to someone else's address?

Absolutely! Enter the recipient's address as the shipping address at checkout. The packing slip doesn't include pricing, so it's ready to hand over as-is. Leave us a note at checkout with any message you'd like included or get in touch if you want to include a note hello@flownoak.com.au

Does Flown Oak donate to charity?

Yes. Moving forward we will now donate money from each Loss Mum T-shirt or Jumper purchase between Stillbirth Foundation Australia and Still Aware.
